Contact Officer Training

Contact Officers: Supporting people, strengthening your organisation.

Contact Officers play an important role in creating safe, respectful and inclusive workplaces. As designated support people, they provide employees with a confidential and approachable point of contact to discuss concerns relating to discrimination, bullying, harassment and other inappropriate workplace behaviour.

This practical program is designed for employees who are current or prospective Contact Officers and provides the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform the role effectively. Participants will learn how to respond to concerns appropriately, maintain professional boundaries, communicate with empathy, and contribute to early intervention and positive workplace culture.

What makes our training stand out?

Using our signature Workplace Reality Theatre training method, we draw on industry and sector-specific case studies, allowing participants to respond to real-time scenarios played out by professional actors. Participants receive feedback from our expert facilitator on how to assess issues that require escalation versus those that can be resolved by providing employees with the right resources.

“Being approachable is only part of the role. Effective Contact Officers need the confidence, judgement and communication skills to respond appropriately when concerns are raised.”
