Dr Tara Smith, PhD

HR Consultant and Facilitator

Tara Smith specialises in supporting organisations, teams, and individuals to effectively adopt change to drive organisational success. Tara brings more than 30 years of diverse experience as a consultant, and HR expert in both public and private sector organisations, locally and overseas. Her experience includes strategic and operational change. Experience includes all aspects of HR including; organisational change, development of HR strategy, job design, recruitment and selection, payroll, performance management, and learning and development.

As an academic at Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University for 19 years. Tara taught in the Masters of HR and Master of Business Administration programs. In this role, she focussed on researching and facilitating units in Strategic HR, Organisational Behaviour, Training and Development, Recruitment and Selection, and Performance Management.

She has held leadership roles and provided consulting and facilitation support to organisations including the Corruption and Crime Commission, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), Department of Health, and Department of Education in WA, working with leaders, professionals, and employees to develop solutions that improve individuals, teams, and organisational performance.

Tara holds a PhD in Online Learning, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
