Paula Bruce

As a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor and Facilitator at iHR Australia, Paula Bruce helps organisations resolve workplace conflict, respond to complex conduct matters and build capability for early intervention.

Paula has worked in workplace dispute resolution since 1999, supporting organisations through mediation, education, collaboration, workplace behaviour reviews and investigations. Her experience spans Commonwealth, state and local government, public and private hospitals, aged care, aviation and hospitality. She also developed, managed and delivered a national workplace dispute resolution service for a large Employee Assistance Program.

An experienced investigator, mediator, coach and trainer, Paula has worked extensively with parties addressing allegations of bullying and harassment. She delivers training in respectful workplace behaviour, resilience, mediation and collaborative issue resolution for teams, managers and HR professionals. Her research interests include high-conflict relationships, culturally responsive dispute resolution and challenges to mediation in Australian workplaces.

Paula holds tertiary qualifications in law, psychology, mediation and management, and maintains a NSW practising certificate as a solicitor. She is a panel member with the Law Society of NSW and has developed pilot mediation programs for Local, District and Federal Magistrates Courts.
