Overview:
Our workplace sexual harassment training emphasises that all managers and employees need to understand their responsibilities in contributing to a workplace culture free from sexual harassment. The workshop reinforces that organisational culture and effective management practices are key in preventing and handling incidents of sexual harassment in the workplace. The program will identify the responsibilities of managers and employees in preventing, reporting and responding appropriately to sexual harassment in the workplace.
In this program, an experienced iHR Australia facilitator and two professional actors will bring to life real workplace situations that demonstrate these important issues.

Content:
Topics addressed include:
- The relationship between workplace culture and sexual harassment;
- Workplace sexual harassment and our evolving obligations;
- The definition of workplace sexual harassment;
- Different forms of workplace sexual harassment;
- Manager and employee responsibilities;
- Handling workplace sexual harassment with 1 on 1 intervention; and
- Organisation reporting procedures for incidents of workplace sexual harassment.
Learning outcomes:
At the conclusion of this workshop participants should:
- Identify the importance of workplace culture and effective management practices in preventing and handling incidents of workplace sexual harassment;
- Explain the definition and elements of sexual harassment and that such behaviours are unlawful in Australian workplaces;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the different forms of behaviours that constitute sexual harassment and the elements of inappropriate behaviour;
- Have knowledge of the overarching laws relating to sexual harassment and defamation;
- Identify the responsibilities of managers and employees in preventing, reporting and responding appropriately to sexual harassment in the workplace;
- Understand broadly the role of social media in contributing to awareness of sexual harassment;
- Demonstrate knowledge of the different options available for the organisation in handling sexual harassment complaints and consequences of not handling a complaint appropriately; and
- Describe the systems and support available to those impacted by sexual harassment in the workplace.
