iHR Australia Resilience Training: From Surviving to Thriving
This program will provide a highly engaging and individually beneficial experience that will result in the development of a resilience management plan. Our Psychologist will guide participants through the development of their plan, enabling real-time practice of some of the suggested tools and strategies.
Face-to-face: Half day | Virtual: 3 Hours
Topics addressed include:
What is resilience and why is it important?
Define and unpack the different types of resilience and identify the benefits of resilience.
Is there a relationship between resilience and health and safety in the workplace?
Understand the primary legislative-driven responsibilities for employees and employers and how this relates to the development and maintenance of your personal resilience. Identify potential circumstances in the workplace and in life in general that may require you to demonstrate resilience.
How do I develop resilience?
Understand the primary components of resilience and the over-arching resilience development framework. Identify and discuss the resilience mind-set and ways to achieve this mind-set. Understanding what happens when you are asked to meet challenging circumstances. Identify how to effectively approach and manage challenging circumstances.
How do I maintain my resilience?
Complete a resilience maintenance plan throughout this workshop, tailored to your individual requirements. Learn about resilience tools and strategies. Identify barriers to implementation and maintenance and how to overcome them.
How can my workplace assist me?
Identify key resources and strategies that my employer can offer me, to support me in developing and maintaining my personal resilience.
Where to from here?
Identify key maintenance plan implementation strategies. Your commitment and accountability to yourself. Form peer support groups.
At the conclusion of this workshop participants should:
- Identify why resilience is important to the person and in the workplace;
- Identify ways to improve well-being and the ability to cope with challenges;
- Complete a basic resilience maintenance plan and identify implementation strategies, including workplace support resources; and
- Encourage and support other people to develop and manage their personal resilience.
