Custodians of Culture for Managers - Part 1: Anti Discrimination and Bullying Training ( 11 Events )

Our Equal Employment Opportunity, anti-bullying training for managers focuses on their responsibility as the custodians of your organisation's workplace culture and the key elements of the manager's role in preventing and effectively managing bullying, harassment and discrimination issues in the workplace. In this half-day workshop, an experienced iHR facilitator and two professional actors will bring to life real workplace situations using our unique Workplace Reality Theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and apply effective leadership techniques and will learn about three leadership styles that heighten the risk of workplace issues and potential litigation.

Custodians of Culture for Managers - Parts 1 & 2 Package ( 11 Events )

In the first half of the day, the program focuses on Managers' and Team Leaders' responsibility as the custodians of your organisation's culture and the key elements of the manager's role in preventing and managing bullying, harassment and discrimination issues. An experienced iHR facilitator and two professional actors will bring to life real workplace situations using Workplace Reality Theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and apply leadership techniques and will learn about three leadership styles that heighten the risk of workplace issues and potential litigation.

In the second part of the day participants gain an understanding of how to approach and conduct conversations to address inappropriate workplace behaviour. Participants practise having difficult conversations with an iHR actor who assumes various personas. An expert facilitator coaches and guides participants through the session. This provides participants with a realistic simulation in which to practise an essential workplace skill.

Custodians of Culture for Managers - Part 2: Addressing Inappropriate Workplace Behaviour ( 0 Event )

In this program participants gain an understanding of how to approach and conduct conversations to address inappropriate workplace behaviour. Participants practice having the difficult conversations with an iHR actor who assumes various personas that may be encountered in a workplace. An expert facilitator coaches and guides participants through the skill practice session. This approach provides participants with a realistic simulation in which to practise an essential workplace skill. Key concepts and practices are illustrated utilising iHR's unique Workplace Reality Theatre.

Contact Officer Training ( 12 Events )

In this program, participants will recognise the importance of the Contact Officer role and develop an understanding of the role's responsibilities, particularly when dealing with allegations of bullying and discrimination. In this full-day program, iHR's facilitator and professional actors using Workplace Reality Theatre will share skills, knowledge and behaviours to help participants to develop effective techniques for solving a variety of common issues they may face in the workplace.

Workplace Investigation Officer training ( 9 Events )

In this program, iHR's facilitator and expert Senior Investigator will guide participants through the key principles of conducting a lawful workplace investigation, focussing on unlawful discrimination, harassment and bullying. Participants will also observe our unique Workplace Reality Theatre where an actor will re-enact relevant and engaging scenarios from real-life investigations for group discussions and exercises.

Recruitment for Non-HR Managers ( 0 Event )

This program is ideal for those new to recruitment responsibilities. It will help participants develop their interviewing skills to select the right person. They will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to prepare for interviews, determine the right questions to ask and to analyse a candidate's answers. Participants will work through real-life scenarios with iHR's professional actors and an expert facilitator using iHR's unique Workplace Reality Theatre.

Managing Team Performance ( 0 Event )

This full-day workshop will help participants to build the competence and confidence to effectively manage staff performance within the workplace. Content includes identification of leadership behaviours that will foster a high performance culture as well as management approaches for under-performance. Program participants will work with our facilitator and two actors in our Workplace Reality Theatre to observe, analyse and practice the delivery of effective performance feedback.
