In the first half of the day, the program focuses on Managers' and Team Leaders' responsibility as the custodians of your organisation's culture and the key elements of the manager's role in preventing and managing bullying, harassment and discrimination issues. An experienced iHR facilitator and two professional actors will bring to life real workplace situations using Workplace Reality Theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and apply leadership techniques and will learn about three leadership styles that heighten the risk of workplace issues and potential litigation.
In the second part of the day participants gain an understanding of how to approach and conduct conversations to address inappropriate workplace behaviour. Participants practise having difficult conversations with an iHR actor who assumes various personas. An expert facilitator coaches and guides participants through the session. This provides participants with a realistic simulation in which to practise an essential workplace skill.
