New year, new people, new challenges?

A new year can be a time for change, fortunately iHR Australia is pleased to welcome some new additions to the iHR team to assist our clients with new challenges they may be facing this year.
This week iHR Australia welcomes Workplace Investigator and Workplace Relations Adviser – Verena Marshall and Training Facilitator – Tara Walsh to the team. Based in Perth, Verena is legally qualified and offers expertise and extensive experience in HR, Workplace Relations and Industrial Relations. Brisbane based Tara is a highly skilled facilitator and possesses a wealth of HR experience which provides added depth to her training delivery.
Verena Marshall – Senior Workplace Relations Adviser & Workplace Investigator WA
With over 20 years' experience in HR/IR management and consultancy, Verena is adept at providing clients with strategic advice and operational support towards sound management policies and practice.
Verena has worked in a variety of industries including government, higher education and health and has conducted investigations across several sectors. Verena has taught MBA students in the areas of Strategic HR, Employee Relations and Risk and Safety Management Her particular areas of expertise, including legal background and research are:
- Workplace Relations
- Employment Law
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Law
Training and Qualifications:
In addition to her PhD in Performance Management and MBA, Verena is legally trained, holding a Juris Dr of Law, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Graduate Certificate of Migration Law and has been admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW.
Tara Walsh – Senior Facilitator QLD
Tara Walsh has had over 15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources for global, multi-site organisations as well as medium sized businesses across a range of industries. Most recently she was the HR Executive for Asia Pacific for the world's largest hospitality company. She is an experienced HR leader with strong skills and interest in Organisational Development, Leadership Development, Workplace Culture, Industrial Relations and Employee Relations.
As a seasoned HR professional, Tara enjoys partnering with business leaders to achieve commercial success. She brings her experience, passion and enthusiasm with her when facilitating training programs, and has the ability to interject meaningful and real life examples into our programs.
With her strong HR experience, Tara also provides consultancy in all areas of HR including:
- Workplace Investigations
- Change Management
- HR Audits
- Employee Relations
- Organisational Development
Training and Qualifications:
Tara holds tertiary qualifications in Business and Psychology and is also a Registered Psychologist in Australia, specialising in Organisational Psychology. Tara's thesis explored the relationship between leadership styles and organisational safety behaviours.
